Chuck Dobbins is the President and owner of Dobbins Properties. His personal service to his clients and his depth of real estate knowledge through over 40 years in the business are keys to his success on behalf of his clients. His demonstrated successes as a senior corporate leader, landlord, real estate developer, retail, office and industrial tenant and community leader uniquely positions the company.

Mr. Dobbins retired from Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in 2016. In his role as Director of Corporate Assets, his global responsibilities included creating and directing the asset management division for a $5 Billion subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway with responsibility for a portfolio of 33 million square feet of space and assets having $1.3 billion net book value. The teams he led delivered enhanced corporate earnings through successful execution of strategies, planning, and operations globally for real estate, fixed asset accounting, asset finance, capital planning, property tax, facilities management and construction.

Prior to joining Shaw, Chuck was Senior Vice President of Carter, a commercial real estate development and management company, in Atlanta where he was responsible for asset management, development, leasing, property management, construction and finance for 5 million square feet of regional mall and shopping center properties in the Southern US. His prior experience also includes management positions at Sears, Roebuck and Co., where he directed real estate strategies including managing purchases, leases, dispositions and property management for 350 facilities in the Southern US.

He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee, a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and a member of CoreNet Global, a corporate real estate professional organization. He is committed to civic, community, and church organizations, currently serving as Co-chair of Believe Greater Dalton, a community strategic planning initiative, a member and Past Chair of the Executive Board of Directors of the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair of Thrive Regional Partnership a regional planning collaborative for the 16 county Chattanooga, Tennessee region, a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Dalton, a member of the Board of Trustees of Hamilton Heath Care System and as a Trustee of the Hamilton Healthcare Foundation. He has also served as Chairman of the Dalton-Whitfield County Joint Development Authority and is an alumnus of Leadership Dalton-Whitfield. He was named 2010 Volunteer of the Year for the state of Georgia by the Georgia Economic Developers Association. He is actively involved in First Baptist Church Dalton where he has served in numerous leadership capacities.

Mr. Dobbins is a native of Atlanta and an alumnus of the Georgia Institute of Technology. He and his family reside in Dalton, Georgia, where they have lived for twenty-eight years.
